Robots biggest business of Elon Musk

Elon Musk

According to Elon Musk, there will come a day very soon that one of his company’s other products will outsell everything else, including cars.

According to Elon Musk, Tesla’s humanoid robots will soon become the most valuable product on the planet.

It may seem strange now, but in just a few years, people will understand the importance of the robot named Optimus, he predicted.

“I’m surprised that some people still don’t understand how big the Optimus robots are going to be.” Those with the foresight and who know how to listen understand well enough that one day, Optimus will be worth much more than the car business and much more than the autopilot car system. That is more than certain.” – said Musk during one of his presentations last week.

What is Optimus of Elon Musk?

These robots are built to perform repetitive tasks. Elon Musk introduced this product for the first time last summer.

During the presentation, Elon Musk said that the purpose of this machine is to reduce the cost of mundane jobs as much as possible.

“It is intended to be a friendly robot that can certainly easily navigate the human world by eliminating dangerous, repetitive and boring jobs,” Musk said.

The billionaire also stated that he envisions a future where robots perform the most boring jobs for their human owners.

“They will be given orders like, please go down to the store and bring me these things,” added Elon Musk.

But the first question raised by critics is the issue of security.

How dangerous can these robots be to humans?

In the past, Musk himself has raised the alarm about the dangers of artificial intelligence, saying that as of today, they are much smarter than people can imagine.

But, regarding the Optimus robot, Elon Musk has stated that it is being designed so that it can be turned off or deactivated by humans the first time something goes wrong.

Tesla has announced that this robot will be 1.72 cm tall and 57 kg in weight.

It will be able to load weights up to 20 kg, lift up to 68 kg, and move at a speed of up to 8 km/h.

His face will serve as a screen for ‘useful information’.

It remains to be seen when this robot will be ready to hit the market.

However, according to an Artificial Intelligence researcher, Gary Marcus, “Elon Musk’s promises that it will be ready before 2023 are not very realistic.

“After many attempts over the years, Tesla still has not solved the problem of driving electric cars or the auto-pilot system; to claim that a single robot, which has never been shown in public, will be ready next year and replace mundane tasks is simply absurd,” he said.

Elon Musk said Tesla’s hotly anticipated AI humanoid robot “Optimus” which has both wowed and panicked customers, will be formally divulged in only a couple of months.

Talking at the Qatar Economic Forum on June 21,  Elon Musk said he anticipates that a model of the robot should be disclosed at Tesla’s “Computer based intelligence Day” on September 30.

The development of the robot “Optimus,” was first reported in August 2021 in which the organization gloated the droid would have the option to stroll no less than five miles each hour and even lift 150 pounds.

At the point when he originally declared the venture, Musk said the robot would “kill hazardous, redundant, exhausting undertakings.”

The robot would complete the work individuals could do without to do.

“I trust that we will have a fascinating model to show individuals,” Musk expressed, addressing British columnist John Micklethwait, at the June 21 occasion. “We have an extremely gifted group at Tesla that I’m working with near have a model humanoid robot prepared toward September’s end. What’s more, I think we are following to that point.”

The date for the revealing of the robot was initially set for Aug. 19 however Elon Musk had affirmed the new date on Twitter.

“Optimus could ultimately address worldwide deficiencies of work, and in the present moment could possibly haul things around a plant,” Musk had said in January, as per Reuters.

Elon Musk has said the motivation behind the AI day is to assist with carrying top tech ability to Tesla.
